World Glass Design is a Scottsdale glass art and fabrication studio, the creative home of artists D’Valerio (Dan) and Jonathan Craciunescu.

Rooted in a multigenerational family tradition of glassmaking, the studio brings together artistic vision, technical expertise and contemporary craftsmanship to create distinctive works in glass.

We specialize in kiln-formed glass, cast glass sculpture and architectural glass installations, working where fine art meets functional design. Each commission is developed through traditional craftsmanship, material experimentation and refined production techniques.

The result is work designed for residential, commercial, hospitality and public spaces: pieces that sit naturally in the architecture and still hold their own as sculpture.

D’Valerio (Dan)

A fifth-generation glass artist from a family with six generations of glassmaking. He studied at the Art Institute of Bucharest while working beside his father, a lifelong blown-glass artist.

Over four decades he has developed his own techniques in kiln-formed and cast glass: sculpture, custom objects and architectural installations. He is known in the glass art community and the luxury design industry for solving complex fabrication problems and bringing ambitious concepts to life.

Jonathan Craciunescu

Jonathan brings a multidisciplinary approach to every custom artwork, sculptural feature and installation. His craft spans welding, glass coldworking, precision polishing and woodworking.

Years on complex building and construction projects taught him to see a piece as both an aesthetic vision and a structural problem, so finished work balances artistic expression, material integrity and precision.
